Style Out: Rainy Day Denim (Collaboration)

9:06 PM

Tonight's post is one I am so excited to present to you all! I was lucky enough to be able to collaborate with four lovely ladies who are also a part of the Her Campus Blogger Network. Round one of our collaboration is a style out of denim jackets!

To catch the other ladies featured in this collaboration, check out their links below and see how they styled their denim jackets.

The weather in Florida is as wishy-washy as ever, and despite being pretty sunny the days before, on the day of my "shoot" it was cold and rainy. What's great about a jean jacket is you can easily throw it over something you'd wear on a warm day, as I did here for my look. I love this Cotton On dress because it's floral, black, and extremely breathable! It's the perfect year round dress, and on the days where it's cool I just throw on some tights or thigh highs and I'm golden.

I found my jean jacket at Justice (yes, the kid's store) for only $30. It's amazingly well made and only half the price of what one might find at Urban or even Forever 21 and H&M. It's kind of embarrassing that I can still fit kid's clothes, but you wouldn't even know it was for pre-teen by looking at it. It has some distressing detailing and is in an acid wash pattern, which seems to be making its way back into the trendy spotlight. It's a medium weight, so it isn't the jacket you'd want to wear on a warm day, but it's the perfect add on to any outfit (including one that already features denim. I love that look!) to dress it down and make it comfy!

Outfit Details:
Dress: CottonOn (Similar) // Denim Jacket: Justice // Thigh Highs: Urban Outfitters // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Necklace: Forever 21 (Similar) // Earrings: Forever 21

I hope you liked the look! I'd love to know what ways you like to style your denim jackets. Let me know in the comments. Also, don't for get to check out the other ladies' looks!
